The cable industry and wire production are some of the most popular and leading industries around the globe. For their efficient industrial processes, both industries use nitrogen gas. N2 makes up more than three-quarters of the air we breathe, and it is an important gas used in the industry for commercial purposes. Therefore, more and more companies are moving to generating their nitrogen instead of purchasing it from a third-party supplier. We have been at the forefront of manufacturing Nitrogen generators for
Why do Cable Manufacturers need nitrogen?
While manufacturing cables, air, humidity, and oxygen molecules enter the coating material and the wire when coated. In the coating material, nitrogen is infused and injected into the wire. This creates a closed nitrogen atmosphere hence preventing oxidation.
Tempering of Copper wires
To increase the flexibility and resistance, copper wire material undergoes tempering procedures. During the tempering process, nitrogen is pushed inside the stove to prevent oxidation at high temperatures created inside the stove. Nitrogen successfully prevents oxidation.
Cooling and Heating
Air-conditioners and industrial cooling and heating devices use copper pipes. These copper wires undergo a leakage test in which nitrogen gas is used.
Coating of wires
Galvanization refers to covering the iron dipped into zinc that is liquefied at 450-455°C temperature. Here zinc structures solid bonds with the iron and increase its resistance against the oxidation of metals. Galvanized wires removed from the zinc shower are then sprayed with nitrogen gas to eliminate any residue liquid zinc on them. During the process, this method enjoys two benefits: Galvanized coating thickness becomes homogeneous for the entire breadth of the wire. Along with this method, the buildup of zinc material is returned to the bath, and a huge amount is saved.
